Simon has always had an interest in sailing and after leaving a large Energy Company in 2017 he qualified with the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore. Since then he has sallied over 8000 nautical miles as crew and skipper including deliveries and competed in the 2021 Fastnet Race as a challenge. He joined VISA-GB in 2022 and has skippered trips to Milford-Haven, Falmouth, Solent and Scotland where his moto is get the VI’s to do as much as possible. He became a Trustee in 2024.
